Residential Services - Delaware

  To serve adults who have developmental and/or physical disabilities, Chimes Delaware offers a choice of residential settings, including apartments and group homes. We are known for welcoming people with serious problems, including severe and challenging behaviors, autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome, mental illness, and multiple diagnoses. Our residences are designed with special modifications, and staffed at levels of skill and experience, that are effective with different populations. A number of residences are totally accessible for people who are non-ambulatory.


  Residential services complement Chimes Delaware's vocational programs. The Agency currently houses 126 people in single family homes or apartments that have been adapted to the needs of people with multiple disabilities. The staff are trained in health services and behavior management, and many of the residences have 24-hour care.

Chimes Delaware is now the state's largest provider offering both residential and vocational services to people with disabilities. And its growth continues. The headquarters in Newark, which houses both administrative offices and a large work center, has undergone the latest of several expansions; and three single family houses and one apartment have just welcomed their new reside
